EAWA has raised funds via raffle draws at some of their events and donated the monies collected to various good causes. A cheque of £700, collected at the Bollywood Nite 2018 event, was handed to Mr Peter Archer, consultant urologist, in May 2018. It was donated for Southend Hospital Prostate Cancer Unit and is to be used for the benefit of patients with Prostate Cancer. A further £160 was donated to the Macmillan Nurses in 2017 from various raffle draws from events in 2016/ 2017.
EAWA 11th AGM hosted on 19th September 2018
The 11th Annual general Meeting of EAWA was held at Shagor Restaurant in Westcliff on Sea. The evening included presentation of reports and independently audit EAWA accounts from the Committee, followed by a talk on Prostate Cancer.
